Anna Harrison

Anna Harrison has been a Trustee with Care for Veterans for almost 3 years, working closely with clinical staff and residents as Deputy Chair. She is a member of the Clinical Governance and Remuneration committees.

She is an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Practice Teacher with a wealth of clinical skills, knowledge and experience.  Anna is currently a Nurse partner in General Practice, one of only a few nurses in the country to have this role. She enjoys helping staff develop to realise their full potential so that residents and patients benefit from safe,  caring and compassionate care. She has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams in community settings,  supporting patients and their families to adapt and live with chronic illness and disability.

Anna has experience with the special needs of the Veteran community through both her professional and family life. Anna was inspired to become a nurse after reading about the work of the dedicated nurses caring for injured servicemen and she is now able to continue this interest through her support as a Trustee of Care for Veterans.
